Governor Blagojevich - It's All About Me

Our Illinois Governor, Rod Blagojevich, broke his silence today. He insisted that he is innocent of criminal wrongdoing, and he defiantly stated that he will remain in office while fighting the charges.

As I watched Blago make his statement at the press conference, which was just under 3 minutes long, I noticed something that prevailed...the number of times he used the words "I", "Me", "My."

In fact, those words were used 40 times while he addressed reporters and the national audience. When you break that down, here's what it means:

Every 4 seconds, Governor Blagojevich referred to himself.

This calculation really sums up the Governorship of Rod Blagojevich. It's always been about him. How his position can help his ambitions for a Presidential run. How you can help him with campaign contributions. What's in it for him when it comes to a senate seat.

Now, we are supposed to put the needs of our state on hold for him. Heck, he even wanted us to hand over our tax dollars to him to pay for his legal bills.

The only "I" that I wanted to hear from rockin Rod, was "I will step down"....but I suppose that isn't in his best interest.

He is such a stinker, I'm sure Santa didn't even give him coal. I hope he got cat hairballs in his stocking.

I'm not a terribly political person, but I am still fuming over this. How does one get caught red handed and still deny wrongdoing?

Let me just add here that I hope he stubs one of his toes every day. And gets dandruff.
