In his latest press conference, Governor Rod Blagojevich left poetry behind, and moved on to the Old West. He is now saying his upcoming impeachment trial is like a "hanging" of himself and the people of Illinois."
Immediately a song came into my head...a country classic by Roger Miller, titled "Dang Me." I think the songs chorus sums it up:
"Dang me, dang me
They oughta take a rope and hang me
High from the highest tree
Woman would you weep for me."
Our governor sure is a son of a gun!
